November Pics…1 of 2 emails

This is a pic Gpa J sent out a week or two ago to the Jensen siblings. Definitely shows Gpa Hunsaker's personality & humor, uh?! (&Gpa J's too) we will send out some "nice" pics of Gpa H when we get a hold of some.

Jensen Update for Nov. 29th, 2021

Hola Mio Elder Hijo! This week has been a busy whirlwind!! We've had a fun time visiting family in UT, but as you know, we've had a sad time too hearing of Grandpa Hunsaker's passing! We know he's in a better place right now, but it's sad we can't go see him in person and interact with his whitty & stubborn personality!! :) Lol!  All joking aside, he was a great man and he'll be greatly missed!! It's always fun to hear Grandpa tell stories of things he did as a youth or that Randy or Sherri did as teenagers back in the day! Good memories!! Dad told you a few things we did when we were up in Utah. I'll try to send some pics of those things… We went hiking to Grotto Falls, axe throwing, played Bunco with the Oar family (Devin was down in Ivins with Gma B), had a good Thanksgiving feast, put a puzzle together, built Lego sets for my village, hot tubbed and we looked at Christmas lights too. I didn't take pics of everything, but we took some.  Of...

La semana más ocupada de mi vida

¡Hola Elder Jensen!

Hello Elder Salsa- I've realized that 2 out of the 3 weeks that you've been in Mexicali, you've had a baptism.  That is pretty special and must be wonderful to witness these people embracing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  I hope you are working well with the members and that the baptisms continue into lifetime conversions.  What a wonderful time you must be having. We are getting ready to head to Utah this week.  We're leaving on Tuesday to drive to Elk Ridge and have Thanksgiving with Brej/Sterling and Aubri/Heston.  I am excited to get to see them again, even though I am not looking forward to the drive.  We are toying with swinging down to southern Utah to see Grandpa and Grandma J on the way home, but still undecided for now. It is also test time at school and both JJ and Zerrick are getting things wrapped up so they can enjoy the time off. At my work, it is end of year evaluation time.  That means I had 10 papers to write – one for each of...

Jensen update for Nov. 15th, 2021...

Hola Mi Hijo & Familia! I feel like this week is "deja vu!" It's been the same as last week for me and I'm sitting here wondering what to write to Kyle and all of you. I don't really have earth shattering things that happen in my "daily" activities. So I don't really know what to write... In thinking hard about what I've done this week, I did remember a little "Spanish" situation (Missionary Moment) that happened to Dad & I while we went out on a lunch DATE last week. 😄Yes, Dad was cute and "asked me out" for a lunch date and we ended up going to a Mexican place in Corvallis that Dad's boss & a couple co-workers went to recently. The waitress was really nice and we both ordered the "verde enchilada special!" It was good!! But while we were waiting for food in general, we overheard a lady leaving the restaurant and saying Happy Bday to the waitress. (& the waitress  embarrassingly  shushed her qui...

Re: Weekly Email - 11/15/21

Let's plan for 4pm Oregon time to Zoom today. I think that's what we set up last week with Kyle and that will be the best time to get the most of us.  Maybe we'll change it up a different week. Thinking of a different week...What does the Holidays look like for you Kyle? Will we be able to Zoom you on Thanksgiving? I assume Mexico doesn't celebrate that, so I don't know if you get "special privileges" during that week at all. Let us know what your schedule would be around Thanksgiving which is Nov. 25th. Here's the link we've been using... Re: Weekly Email - 11/15/21

Thanks dad! I really like that object lesson with the family! I think I might use that for a little noche de hogar we have with a family every monday. I've been thinking a lot about trust this week too, and I think I'll share something in my big email about it, we'll see if I remember jaja. I have also definitely seen the benefits of obedience this week and past. A little sneak peek, but we had another baptism yesterday! Se llama Santos and he's really cool. He could have been baptized las week, but, in relation to the blessings of obedience, presidente wanted him to have one more week sin smoking and drinking, and just watching him progress was truly inspiring! Each day we would call him probably 2 or 3 times just to check in with him and see how he was doing, if he was feeling tempted and if he needed any help. And literally each day this week he said he was just feeling really calm and relaxed and didn't have any desire to regress. I love you guys, and thanks for...

Hello Elder Salsa- This last week was a little different than expected.  I had planned on going elk hunting for the week, but since I got a deer the Friday before, I really wasn't feeling inclined to abandon the work I had to do with the deer only to potentially make more work for myself if I happened to be successful elk hunting.  Plus, the weather forecast wasn't something I was too excited about.  I also had quite a few things to do for my work.  So, worked a few hours each day, processed our deer, made some kielbasa, and relaxed.  Tomorrow, it is back to our regularly scheduled work/life program – at least until next Monday when we start to get ready to go to Utah for Thanksgiving. Lucy, or Sister Kratka, spoke today in our ward.  She indicated she was impressed to prepare a short talk and so she did.  And I am glad she did as we certainly needed the time for our other speakers.  She delivered a wonderful message about the Love of our Savior and the need...

That looks like a great picture! And my scriptures is Alma 57:27, "Esta, pues, fue la fe de aquellos de que he hablado; son jóvenes, y sus mentes son firmes, y ponen su confianza en Dios continuamente"😄 El lun., 8 de noviembre de 2021 11:47 a. m., Brenda Jensen < brenda.b.jensen@gmail.com > escribió: Hola Mio Hijo! Lol!! Zerrick & I did put together some winter Lego "sets" this week. I got some little partial snow/elf sets that inspired me to build my own lego winter village house. For my first attempt, I don't think I did too bad!  I did start with online Lego instructions from a set I don't have and attempted to just sub in L ego  pieces that we h...

Hola Elder Salsa, Another week has gone by and it feels like it is so quick nowadays.  Dawn said that Devin has been out for 15 months and that is astounding to me.  I know he left before you, but it doesn't seem like it was that far before you.  I guess perspective is everything.  Speaking of perspective, I have some for you. President Henriquez was released today.  I guess it has been 5 years that he has been serving in the capacity of Branch President.  He has done a wonderful job and I have seen the branch really prosper under his leadership.  He is a very loving example of the Savior, and I know his testimony, his devotion to the Lord, and his desire to serve those around him have made him the leader he is today.  I am happy for him as I know this calling has been taxing.  But I am sad for him as well.  This calling also brings blessing and perspective like no other.  I will miss serving with my friend. Last week, I forgot to tell you something that ...

Dear Elder Salsa- I hope you had a good week.  It was nice to see some pics of your comp, the food and the things you are seeing.  I think we all like pics, so please send more. The talks today were focused on the Temple and although they were good, that isn't the focus I want in my email today.  There were some really good questions raised and I will share them: ·        What is keeping you from going to the temple? From holding a valid temple recommend? (Mom and I's recommends expired on Halloween) ·        How can you remove obstacles from you or others that make it difficult to get to the temple? I know I have work to do there, and the complexities of the pandemic make this a little more challenging, but I can do better. What I really want to share is something of the Spirit.  We've been discussing some changes in some of our organizational presidencies and one in particular has been challenging.  We've discussed names and I have...
